Sung Ho, a man in his late 20s, is a former soldier and single father. After his ex-girlfriend abandons him with their one-year-old daughter, he finds himself jobless and without any clear future. All he has left is a house in the quiet village of Nuldongmae, and he hopes this peaceful setting will offer a fresh start for him and his child. However, rumors swirl about the village head, a young man with a reputation for being difficult, which leaves Sung Ho uncertain about what lies ahead.

On the day he moves in, Sung Ho crosses paths with a tall, handsome, and fiery-tempered man who accuses him of stealing from his store. While Sung Ho is immediately put off by the encounter, he can’t deny that this man seems to know the ins and outs of the village. Having always been independent, Sung Ho struggles to open up to others. But could this unexpected clash lead to something more?
