A World Without You

This story follows Han Sekye, a man struggling with depression and loneliness, who has relied on the comfort of a mysterious blond man who visits him in his dreams. For years, this dream man has been his lifeline, offering him solace when everything else in his life feels bleak. However, when the dream visits suddenly stop, Sekye’s world begins to unravel. Without the comfort of the man, he spirals into a deep depression.

Years later, when Sekye encounters Woo Yijun, a young aspiring actor who bears an uncanny resemblance to the dream man, Sekye is both shocked and drawn to him. Desperate to reclaim the emotional support he once found, Sekye hires Yijun to act out the role of the man from his dreams, seeking to relive the comfort and emotional connection he once had.

Though Sekye knows the reality—that Yijun is not truly the man from his dreams—he can’t help but fall deeper into this illusion, clinging to the past he so desperately needs. This creates a complex dynamic where Sekye is caught between the comforting memories of his dreams and the undeniable reality of his emotional needs.

The story explores themes of grief, obsession, and the blurring of fantasy and reality as Sekye grapples with his past trauma and attempts to rebuild a sense of stability in his life.
