Summary
Exiled from the palace under mysterious circumstances, Crown Prince Jigyo finds himself in a remote village, accompanied only by his steadfast guard, Dangeum, and the man who raised him, Chunggeum. Surrounded by quiet and the elderly, royal duties are replaced by restless days and gnawing loneliness. As boredom sets in, Jigyo pushes Dangeum to step out from behind his stoic, shadow-like role—and in doing so, sparks a bond that quickly deepens.
But peace is short-lived. Whispers of a bloody conspiracy begin to stir. Dangeum’s past is cloaked in secrets, and Chunggeum may be hiding more than anyone suspects. As truths unravel and loyalties are tested, the question remains: what truly led to their exile, and how are the fates of these three men entangled?
